The fact is that often we are not getting many of the vitamins and minerals that we need especially as men.

Luckily, there are a lot of supplements out there formulated for men such as liquid testosterone drops, for example.  This means that we have options to use supplements when the rest of our efforts fall short. Called the “sunshine vitamin”, Vitamin D is an essential vitamin that unfortunately is lacking in many men these days. Whether it’s because we are not outside enough to get the required amount or for some other reason, Vitamin D deficiency is very common.

This is bad news for men since Vitamin D and testosterone are linked so a deficiency brings with it a lot of other problems. Some effects of this deficiency are fatigue, low metabolism, and even sleep apnea.

As we get older, it is even more important to get enough since low testosterone is also prevalent in older males. Vitamin D also supports strong bone health which is essential for older men.

Take supplements to make sure you are getting about it and take advantage of sunny weather to get some the natural way.

Omega 3 is an important fatty acid that the body needs for many different functions. It is prevalent in many different oily fish. Unfortunately, many men don’t eat enough fish to get the proper amount so a supplement if often necessary.

Omega 3 is known to support brain health which is why it has been said for centuries that fish is brain food. Getting enough Omega 3 is essential to warding off things like Alzheimer’s disease. It is also going to improve cardiovascular health, joint health, and more.

If you’re not a big fish eater then taking a supplement is a good way to ensure that you are getting enough on a daily basis.

Prostate health is a big concern for men and as we get older presents some issues. To make sure that we are keeping the prostate in good health we should be taking plenty of saw palmetto extract.
